Think back to the times when someone helped you with your homework — a parent, a sibling, a teacher. Now imagine facing school without that support. Many children from socially excluded communities grow up in homes where their parents are overwhelmed by daily struggles or lack the education needed to help. By giving a month of tutoring, you’re offering more than academic help — you’re giving a child a real chance at a better life.
This gift supports the SLOVAKIA aid programme, which provides tutoring through our community centres.
We work with children who face barriers far beyond their control — poverty, poor housing, language gaps, and lack of educational support at home. Without help, many drop out of school early and struggle to find work later in life, continuing the cycle of poverty. But with consistent tutoring and encouragement, their confidence grows, their grades improve, and new doors begin to open. Education changes everything. And sometimes, it all starts with one lesson.
