For us at People in Peril, Christmas wouldn’t be complete without a Real Gift. This year’s campaign motto was “A Merry Christmas Begins with a Real Gift,” and we want to thank everyone who supported us. Special thanks go to the marketing agency PS:Sunrise for their help with the campaign and the beautiful Christmas video (the goat couldn’t be left out 🙂).
Goat Remains a Tradition
As in previous years, the 100% Goat was once again the most popular Real Gift. It ranked first in both the number of certificates purchased (554) and the total support collected (€19,930). We will use these donations to fund livelihood support projects.
The second most popular gift was Chance for education, which helps children and young adults in Slovakia. Through scholarships, we reimburse travel expenses, school fees, textbooks, and other educational aids or professional training.
Coming in third was Healthy lunch. This gift supports educational programs by providing nutritious meals and snacks during school hours.
Together, all Real Gifts contributed a total of €76,718. Thank you for your generous support!
Surprise of the Year
The biggest surprise in this year’s campaign was Menstrual pads. Despite being added to our offer only in November, it ranked fourth in the number of certificates donated. It’s wonderful to see so many people recognizing the importance of hygiene and comfort for women and girls from underprivileged communities. Thank you for joining us in the fight against period poverty.
