How Have Real Gifts Already Made a Difference?
In 2023, we supported over 400 people in finding employment, including 266 from Roma communities. Thanks to the SLOVAKIA category of Real Gifts, we provided job counseling, including CV preparation, mock interviews, and financial assistance for travel expenses to job interviews, especially for those living farther away.
In autumn 2024, we donated 420 backpacks filled with notebooks, pens, markers, and school supplies to children from displaced families in Ukraine. We focused on the Chernihiv and Kyiv regions near the border, and the Sumy region, where safety concerns have forced children to continue their education mainly online. This aid was made possible through Real Gifts from the EDUCATION category.
In Kenya, thanks to Real Gifts, we supplied groups of women with greenhouses to grow tomatoes, cucumbers, lettuce, spinach, carrots, and cabbage. These greenhouses enable families to produce food year-round, even during prolonged dry seasons. In addition, recipients received training on crop care, financing, crop insurance, and connecting with buyers. This support came from the LIVELIHOOD category of Real Gifts.
