Warmth of home

WARMTH ON COLD DAYS

Most of us are not surprised by frost. We have radiators, warm blankets, and hot water to keep us comfortable. However, people living in poverty or those forced to flee war or natural disasters fear the cold. Many of them do not even have decent housing, let alone a home that offers protection from the elements. The warmth of a home is meant to keep families safe from the outside and close to each other.

People who have lost their homes due to conflict or disasters often have to rebuild their lives from scratch. They typically live in makeshift shelters, and the arrival of winter poses a serious threat to their safety.

For example, during a snowstorm in Lebanon, we helped refugee families by purchasing fuel for heaters. After the explosion at Beirut's port, we repaired windows and doors to shield families from the cold. In Ukraine, we distributed warm clothes and blankets and bought firewood and briquettes for elderly people who could not afford heating. Your support helps provide warmth and security where it is needed most.
