War or a sudden natural disaster can, in a matter of moments, take away everything people have spent their entire lives building. An ordinary day quickly turns into a struggle for survival—for shelter, safety, and basic necessities such as food and drinking water.
In such difficult times, a simple bowl of soup can mean far more than just filling an empty stomach. It becomes a symbol of care—a warm gesture of humanity, a first sign of hope that even in chaos, someone is there to help. For many, that first hot meal after a disaster marks the beginning of recovery and the slow process of rebuilding their lives.
Food as First Aid
Food and water are the foundation of humanitarian aid. A hot meal, a food package, baby formula, or canned non-perishable items can help people endure the hardest moments—after long and exhausting journeys, while seeking shelter, or when access to supplies is cut off.
We provide food assistance tailored to the specific needs of each community. Our goal is not only to deliver food, but to ensure it is healthy, nutritious, and suitable for the most vulnerable groups, including young children, seniors, and people with health conditions.

How have we helped so far?
In 2024, People in Peril distributed approximately 2,500 meals to internally displaced families living in public shelters in southern Lebanon. In 2023, we delivered a full truckload of food aid to Gaza, totaling nearly 21 tons. The shipment consisted mainly of ready-to-eat items—such as canned goods and biscuits—since many people lacked access to gas and electricity.
Following the devastating earthquakes in Turkey and Syria, we provided 1,500 packages of dried food, including nutritional supplements for infants, in cooperation with our partner organization People in Need. When war broke out in Ukraine, we were present at border crossings, offering immediate assistance in the form of hot meals, tea, and drinking water. We also distributed food aid directly to collective centers across Ukraine.
Each symbolic Bowl of Soup represents a meal for someone in need—and with it, a reminder that they are not alone.
Thank you for your support.
