As 2025 slowly draws to a close, we have an opportunity to reflect on everything we have achieved thanks to the generous support of donors who chose Real Gifts. Through four key programs—Livelihood, Help in Need, Education, and Slovakia—People in Peril has been able to provide meaningful assistance both abroad and at home.
Livelihood: Greenhouse Crops Are Changing Lives
People in Peril has been active in Kenya for many years. In the past, we supported communities by donating livestock, installing beehives, and planting trees. This year, our greenhouse construction project proved especially successful. Sixty households joined the farming initiative, ultimately benefiting around 300 people. Women involved in the project were able to grow their own crops and sell surplus produce at local markets, significantly improving their economic situation and independence.

Help in Need: Water for Gaza, Dignity Kits for Ukraine
In cooperation with the Italian humanitarian organization CESVI, we ensured water deliveries to nine temporary and collective shelters for internally displaced people in Gaza. These shelters were located in the Deir El Balah governorate and provided refuge to approximately 10,300 people from 1,879 families, most of whom had fled Gaza City and northern Gaza. Over a period of 77 days, a total of 910,000 liters of water was distributed across ten locations—providing essential support in a place where access to drinking water is a matter of survival.
In Ukraine, we distributed 209 hygiene kits to women and girls recently evacuated from occupied territories. Each kit was tailored according to age and specific needs to ensure the support was both relevant and dignified. Recognizing the trauma many of these women carry, we also arranged group psychological sessions led by a specialist.
Thanks to donations from the Real Gift Warmth of Home, we were also able to support Ms. Marina, whose home was severely damaged in a drone attack.

Education: Supporting Children in Kenya and Ukraine
At the beginning of the school year, we provided backpacks filled with school supplies to children in Ukraine—primarily those from displaced families and mothers who had to rebuild their lives from scratch in a new environment.
In Kenya, we supplied new textbooks to schoolchildren in the Kilifi district, focusing on two schools attended mainly by children from marginalized communities. These resources help create better learning conditions and open doors to future opportunities.

Slovakia: Clubhouses as Safe Spaces for Everyone
In People in Peril’s regional Clubhouses across Slovakia, we create inclusive spaces where everyone feels welcome. We organize activities for children and young people that combine fun with learning, and we support people from marginalized communities and Ukraine in finding and maintaining employment. Our women’s clubs are especially popular, offering a space where women and girls can meet, share experiences, and take part in meaningful activities.
